MARIETTA, OH (February 27, 2018)— The Evergreen Arts & Humanities Series at Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) in collaboration with the Washington State Foundation and the Schwendeman Agency, Inc. announce a lecture by Dr. Janice Terry on “Conflicts in Today’s Middle East.” This event is sponsored by Whit’s Frozen Custard of Marietta, OH.
The lecture will be presented on Saturday, March 10, at 7:30 pm in Graham Auditorium at WSCO, located at 710 Colegate Drive, Marietta, with doors opening at 7 pm. Admission is free, but seating is limited.
Dr. Terry is known for making the often complicated events in the Middle East easier to understand, even for those with little or no experience or knowledge about the region. An expert on Middle East politics, Janice Terry retired as professor emeritus from Eastern Michigan University and has taught courses on the modern Middle East at Marietta College and for the Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR). Janice has lived and studied in the Middle East, spending long periods of time in Egypt, Lebanon, Turkey and other countries in the region. Her talk for the Evergreen Series at WCCC will focus on the “hot spots” in the region including Iran, Syria and the Arab Israeli conflict.
The Evergreen Arts & Humanities Series was established in 1998 to bring free and low-cost educational, cultural and entertainment programming to the community.
