WSCO Foundation Campaign 2024 -2025

The WSCO Foundation believes that every student deserves the opportunity to learn, succeed and thrive. That’s why we are thrilled to introduce our “I’m IN” campaign, dedicated to ensuring our students have access to financial support when faced with adversities that jeopardize their ability to finish their degree.

We are "IN!” Are YOU?
I’m INvested: A donation to our campaign is an investment in a student’s future and the future of our community’s workforce.
I'm INspired: Single parents. First generation. Working adults. These and many other student populations inspire our community of supporters with their resilience.
I'm INstrumental: Your gift will be instrumental in tackling many student obstacles including poverty, food insecurity and lack of transportation.

Join Us in Saying "I'M IN"

55% of our students fear imminent homelessness.

54% of our students can't afford groceries for their families.

60% of our students worry about having enough money to pay for school.

"Being INvested in the WSCO Foundation means we’re investing in students’ futures. By providing financial support, we are providing students the means to achieve their career goals."

- Dr. Jona Rinard

Dr. Jona Rinard and Mr. Josh Rinard, have been INvested in student support at WSCO for many years. In January 2023, the Rinard’s established the Ora Waveline Lane Memorial Scholarship to further the impact they have on students’ lives at WSCO. This scholarship is dedicated to supporting single mothers who aspire to return to college to pursue a degree or certificate.

Named in honor of Jona’s grandmother, Waveline, the scholarship pays tribute to a remarkable single mother who prioritized family and believed in the transformative power of education. Through their gift, the Rinard's aim to continue Waveline’s legacy by providing financial assistance to single mothers, empowering them to prioritize education and create better opportunities for themselves and their families.

“Meeting my donor and learning that they were a WSCO alum who also relied on financial support during college truly INspired me. The support I have received from WSCO has changed my life, and when I am established in my career, I plan to give back to WSCO just as my donor did for me.”

                                                                                                                                                              - Dayton G.

Dayton is a first-generation, non-traditional student enrolled in the Cyber Security program at WSCO. He didn't expect to receive additional financial support as an adult student and was concerned about balancing a full-time job with full-time enrollment. Thanks to the generous support of the Foundation, Dayton can now pursue his career goals in I.T. and his personal goal of becoming the first in his family to graduate from college, without the burden of financial stress.

Meeting his donor and experiencing the impact of their contribution firsthand has truly INspired him. As a future WSCO alum, Dayton plans to establish a scholarship fund to support other students who might feel they lack the support they need.
