MARIETTA, OHIO—The area’s largest job fair, Career Connect, will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dyson Baudo Recreation Center on the Marietta College campus. More than 150 vendors will be on hand to discuss career opportunities.
Career Connect is a unique collaboration between Marietta College, Washington State College of Ohio, Washington County Career Center, Washington County Jobs & Family Services, Building Bridges to Careers, and Ohio Means Jobs. These organizations combined their individual job fair efforts to create one large, inclusive event that serves the entire Mid-Ohio Valley.
The job fair is a free event that will serve job seekers, employers, Washington County high school students, college students, and educational institutions in the region. It reinforces the Mid-Ohio Valley’s desire and need to connect students and adults of all ages to educational and workplace opportunities that promote economic independence and a thriving community.
Jobseekers can expect to meet with employers from an array of industries, including healthcare, manufacturing, retail, finance, information technology, academia, and more. These organizations are looking to fill positions from entry-level to executive, office to factory, and full-time to part-time. Additionally, resume critiques, interview attire advice, and career/educational coaching will be offered at no charge during the event.
This is the second year for Career Connect Job Fair. Last year’s event was supported by 140 vendors and more than 1,100 attendees. For additional information, or to register for the event, job seekers, service providers, and employers can visit www.careerconnectmov.org.
