MARIETTA, OH (Feb. 1, 2018)— In conjunction with its 50th anniversary, Riverview Credit Union, Inc. (RCU) recently established the Cheryl Ann Fornnarino-Reeder Memorial Scholarship at Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) in honor of its remarkable leader, mentor, partner, and friend.
Cheryl Ann Fornnarino-Reeder was the daughter of Pearl Fornnarino, founder of the Riverview Credit Union, Inc. (RCU). Cheryl Ann began as a clerk in the financial institution and was appointed Manager/CEO upon her mother’s retirement. During her tenure, Cheryl was instrumental in the growth and expansion of RCU and her
dedication and passion toward the credit union were both honorable and infectious for RCU’s staff and members. After 27 years of service, Cheryl retired in 2004 as the head of RCU and joined the Board of Directors, where she served until 2012.
Riverview Credit Union President and CEO Michael B. Iaderosa, along with Marketing and Communications Coordinator Nikita Chidester recently presented the scholarship check to WSCO President Dr. Vicky Wood and Foundation Director Anna Rittenhouse.
The Scholarship will be awarded to Washington County resident students who demonstrate need and leadership skills through school and community involvement.
