Dear WSCO Foundation Friends,
I have been a Washington State College of Ohio Trustee for many years and found it disturbing that more than 1 in 6 of our students show signs of low food security. In layman’s terms that means they are eating less, consuming less nutritious foods, or in the worst-case scenario, they’re doing without completely.
It’s a heartbreaking statistic that compelled me to act and become an avid supporter of the WSCO Food Pantry Fund. I fervently believe we need to do everything possible to help those who are working hard
to improve their lives with higher learning. They should not have to choose between eating and education. In celebration of this year’s Giving Tuesday, I’m asking you to join me in my efforts to eliminate our students’ worries about where their next meal will come from.
Allow me to thank you in advance for your gift. You are showing our students that you support their
efforts for a better future and are dedicated to removing barriers that keep them from graduating.
