MARIETTA, OH (September 13, 2017)— Washington State College of Ohio (WSCO) recently recognized graduates of it Peace Officer Basic Academy (POBA).
The accomplishments of the ten cadets were acknowledged at a ceremony on August 21. Notable speakers at the graduation included Washington County Sherrif Larry Mincks, and Marietta City Police Chief Rodney Hupp.
Graduates included Trent Gainer, Tristan Wright, Chad Parmiter, Josh Hill, Ryan Stewart, Dawson Weekley, Matt Martin, Jon Redden, Troy Ebert, and Logan Heath.
The POBA program will start its next session on October 16, however, candidates are required to pass a physical fitness test prior to enrolling. For dates and times of the testing, contact Commander John Burdette at 740.374.8716 ext. 1540.
