MARIETTA, OHIO —Washington State College of Ohio’s (WSCO) 2022 NCLEX-RN pass rates place the institution among the top nursing programs in Ohio. The National Council State Boards of Nursing reported the school had a pass rate of 95.74% for the NCLEX-RN. The college’s longstanding stellar performance on the exam sets the stage for its new RN to BSN completion program.
The NCLEX-RN pass rate at WSCO has consistently outperformed state and national averages. The 2022 pass rate is especially notable because it’s nearly 20% higher than the state average and more than 15% higher than the national average. Washington State’s near-perfect pass rate ranks the institution as having the third-highest score in Ohio.
WSCO’s Director of Nursing Tricia Schaad credits the high pass rate to the institution’s reputation for having a rigorous learning environment that produces well-trained, high-quality nurses. “The licensure pass rates continue to showcase the quality of our nursing program here at WSCO,” said Schaad. “We have steadily grown and expanded the program while continuing to uphold our high standards.”
Washington State offers multiple enrollment options for students interested in a nursing career, including Practical Nursing, Associate Degree Nursing (ADN), and its new RN to BSN completion program.
Admission to WSCO’s nursing programs is a selective process. The college is currently accepting applications for its BSN program and encouraging applicants to enroll in summer classes to complete pre-requisite courses.
Students eligible to enroll in the advanced placement or bridge pathway, as well as those interested in starting in the Spring 2024 ADN cohort can apply between June 1 through September 16. The applications, as well as additional details about the institution’s nursing program, are available online at wscc.edu/nursing or by contacting Amanda Stilgenbauer at 740.885.5718 or astilgenbauer@wscc.edu.
