associate degree nursing

The Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Nursing provides classroom and clinical experience to prepare graduates to become exemplary members of the healthcare team. Graduates of the Associate Degree Nursing program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Registered Nurses provide ongoing patient care and support, promote healthy lifestyles, and coordinate all aspects of patient care in acute and long-term care facilities, as well as other community settings. The Associate Degree Nursing program offers both educational and career mobility. In addition to a broad range of employment opportunities, graduates may choose to advance their nursing education through baccalaureate (BSN) or advanced practice (MSN) programs.
